I purchased the technical finance interview guide. I will be interviewing for a corporate finance role at an oil & gas company. What sections of the guide should I focus on?
I would primarily focus on accounting and valuation questions. We do have industry-specific questions (including O&G) that you should be prepared for. You should also demonstrate how O&G is different from other sectors (commodity prices, declining asset base, capital intensive), as well as what is going on with prices.

I work as Transaction reporting BA for reg projects like Mifid, CFTC, MAS etc, I need to speak with Business often and understand their jargon and products , various trade flows and risk books pnl etc, which article or course you recommend would help me ?

I would probably recommend our Fixed Income Markets Certification and/or the Equity Markets Certification (you don’t have to get certified if you don’t want to). I think these are your best bet based on your job description.

Is there a choice to get certified or not ? I mean any variation in fees basis that ?
Also will I have life long access once I purchase the content ?

The certification is up to you. I suppose you could put on your resume… I believe the certification in included in the total fee. I would reach out to support at wallstreetprep dot com for help in terms of how long you should have access. Different courses have different access periods… I just answer technical accounting/finance questions.

Where does private credit sit in the info graphic?

Private credit sits with the lenders at the top of the graphic, who provide funds to companies via loan syndication and other debt vehicles that are not traded in the public markets. However, unlike traditional bank loans (which may themselves be securitized and syndicated to the public markets), the private credit market draws funds from a lot of the same buy-side investors who fund PE, hedge funds, VC, etc. So it is ultimately buy-side, but think of it as a non-public form of lending.
